Letter

My letter from 2 Wheeled spanky 

Today I received a letter from my friend 2 Wheeled Spanky. This letter was telling me about how much my bike means to me here is the letter I received:

Dear Jasmine

I like how  you ride me, I like how you treat me like i'm your best friend. Maybe could you clean me and ride me more often. I really enjoyed the first day when I meet you and we went for the best bike ride ever.  One day we are going to go on an adventure together in a forest with a bike track sounds cool hope you use me more often.

The water cycle

Water Cycle experiment 
Kia ora today I'm posting about an experiment that we did in writing. The experiment is called the Water Cycle. Here are the instructions for this experiment, try it.

A small bowl
A large bowl
Gladwrap
Salt
Weight
Hot boiling water

  Have fun

Step 1. Get a large bowl.
Step 2. Put some hot boiling water into the large bowl.
Step 3. Put the small bowl directly in the centre of the large bowl
Step 4. Put some salt in large bowl. [if you want to]
Step 5. Glad Wrap the large bowl.
Step 6. Put weight in the centre of the bowl in the middle of the small bowl. [use an apple]
Step 7. Wait a good 30 minutes

The water hits the glad wrap and condenses and runs into the small bowl.

Instructions for a game of ...

Instructions to a game of ...
For the last week Rimu class for literacy has been working how to write instruction's. Today i'll share mine with you. The game is Dodge ball.


What you need for this game:
A balls - 8-10
A room [could also be played outside]
A rope

Step one: first you need to get the rope and make it even down the middle of the room.

Step two: make the students into 2 teams. { make it even or boys vs girls depends on how  many there is}

Step three: put all the balls in the middle of the room with the rope {make them 10cm away from each other}

Step four: put the one team on one side of the room and the other team on the other side of the room.

Step Five: Get a teacher to count to any number eg 3 then when they have said three and they say go the teams can run up to the rope and grab a ball {not everyone will get a ball}
Step six: When some of each team gets the balls you can start chucking them at the other team { you can only hold the ball for 1 minute}

Rules / and the basics

  1. When you throw a ball and someone catches it on the full you are out.
  2. If you get hit by the ball you are also out.

How  your team can win:
  1. By not cheating
  2. Trying hard
  3. Getting the other team all out
  4. If the game is taking a bit to long then call it a game and count how many people are not out

Port Hills Fire - Recount

Kia ora and welcome to my blog today I am sharing my Port Hills Fire Recount. The purpose of my writing today is to entertain people with my writing.

When my mum and I were in the mall getting the shopping done for school , My mums phone went off “ding ding” I checked it for her it said “ Go have a look outside and look at the sky it looks like a fire” mum said come on then we will hurry to have a look . We had finally finished we packed the stuff and then there it was black smoke and red hot burning blaze ahead from where i was standing. We jumped into the car and and went the long way home to have a look on the way we seen redness around the smoke, I felt really sorry for the people who lived there.


We got home and my sisters did not even let me and mum get inside they were like did you see the fire. I replied “ yes help get the shopping inside”. While we were getting the shopping in, the news started I ran in there and paused it so we could listen and watch it so see what was going on.

After the news was finished the girls went to bed while I was cleaning the backyard, I was cleaning the back yard so that Mum could mow the lawns and put the sprinkler out on the grass. We did not want to out grass to light on fire because of how DRY  our grass was. I had done the lawns and then went inside to watch tv. After one program we went outside and had a look it still looked the same, so we went back inside and watched the other 2 programs. After that it was 9:00pm I went out and had a look it looked like the sky was changing color. Wow I said I had never seen something so crazy. I got into my pjs and set off to bed.

It was the next day I had jump out of bed and ran to the back door to see if the fire had been put out or if it was still burning had a feeling it was still burning and it was :(. I had gone to school and everyone could see it on the field. A week later… The fire had been put it yay what a relief but the people who lived in the port hills was still not aloud to go into their homes.

That is my writing for now. Do you think that my story was entertain or not? What do you think would make my story sound better.
