P.E Review

This week in our P.E Hurumanu we have been doing 100 pts challenge (warm up) act 1: Floor hockey act 2: 6 corner soccer. We have been working in the old gym. We have been working on our involvement within a team.

Our first activity was Floor Hockey For this activity I rated my self as a 4.

To achieve at level 4 we have to show that we can consistently work together as a team, not putting anyone down, communicate in a positive way.

During the first game of FLoor Hockey I showed that I am working at level 4 by cheering my team on whenever the other team scored, using positive words to my team, and also making sure that our team was playing fair. These examples show that I have meet the standard for level 4.

Our second activity was 6 corner soccer. For this activity I rated my self as a 4.

To achieve at level 4 we have to show that we can consistently work together as a team, not putting anyone down, communicate in a positive way.

During the first game of 6 corner soccer I showed that I am working at level 4 by staying positive when another team scored on our side, I also made sure that our team was playing fairly and if something was unfair or wasn't right I corrected them. These examples show that I have meet the standard for level 4

Next week I am aiming to work at level 4 and above. To make sure that I am working that level I am going to work on keep doing what I'm doing but try harder to make a difference in out group/team.

Physical Education

Reflection
This week in our P.E Hurumanu we have been…
Played (Dick long ball + Bench ball)
We set up in the new gym.
To work on our involvement / working with others/teamwork.

Our first activity was Kick long ball. For this activity I rated my self as a 3. To achieve at level 3 we have to show that we can consistently work together as a team/class/group.
During the first game of kick long balI, I showed that I am working at level 3 by encouraging my team and having a positive attitude. These examples show that I have meet the standard for level 3 going on 4.

Our second activity was bench ball. For this activity I rated my self as a 4.
To achieve at level 4 we have to show that we can consistently use our positive attitudes and work together.
During the first game of bench ball I showed that I am working at level 4 by still playing even knowing I was  injured and encouraged my team to keep going. These examples show that I have meet the standard for level 4.

Next week I am aiming to work at level 4  to make sure that I am working that level I am going to work on taking on more responsibility's and help the people who don't know how to play some help.

First Lesson of P.E

P.E Lesson

Today's lesson was to practice our throwing and catching. We played two games today which were Bench ball and Silly banana's. Today I wasn't able to participate in this lesson because I was injured. While playing these games you have to have very good communication with your team.

Bench Ball Rules:
You have two teams playing against each other, the way you win the game is you have to throw the ball to your team and get your whole team onto the bench, when you have the ball your not aloud to move.

Silly Banana Rules:
It's a bit like tag, you have run around and make sure you don't get tagged by the person who's in if you get tagged you have to go into a shape of a banana standing up, then someone who's not in high fives your hands and then u can move around again.

Next time I will I will be able to try and get involved with the games and ask questions with the team.

One of our goals were to be a good listener:

  • Showing the instructions told
  • Stop, look and listen
  • Ignore the people talking to you.
Communication:
  • Calling out names when your playing a game
  • Using your manners
  • Team Work
  • Using each others name
What skills do I need to work on for my next lesson:
  • Being more involved and having a can do attitude!
I'm going to show commitment by:
  • Being positive and having a better mindset and having a go
  • Listening to the rules so I know what I'm doing
  • Join in even knowing I don't like my team
